About this Role
Un Ponte Per seeks a Country Administrator to oversee financial and logistical operations for the Syria mission delivering humanitarian aid and capacity building across health and protection sectors. The position manages cash accounts, grant compliance, financial forecasting, and administrative staff across offices in Damascus, Aleppo, and Amuda. Salary: €2,500–3,000/month. Start date: June 1, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Manage cash accounts and financial supervision across all projects and offices
- Enforce compliance with anti-fraud, anti-terrorism, and anti-corruption policies
- Prepare yearly financial forecasts and monitor budget allocations
- Support audits and micro-assessments with donors
- Monitor overall financial and logistical performance
- Identify financial shortfalls and propose corrective measures
- Train finance and logistics staff on compliance procedures
- Recruit and supervise administrative personnel
Requirements
- University degree in administration or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years NGO finance experience
- Financial reporting and grant management expertise (Excel, administrative software)
- Experience with major donors: EU, UN, USAID, AICS, CDCS
- Fluent English and Italian — oral and written (both required)
- Ability to travel within the Middle East
- Arabic language skills desirable
- Emergency project management experience desirable
