About this Role

IOM Syria seeks a Project Officer (Cash-Based Initiatives) at the P level to oversee development and management of cash-based interventions across operations in Damascus. IOM only accepts applications submitted through the IOM e-Recruitment system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee development and management of cash-based interventions across operations
  • Establish partnerships with government agencies, UN partners, NGOs, and private sector entities
  • Represent IOM in national Cash Working Groups and donor meetings
  • Conduct feasibility studies and market assessments for cash modality selection
  • Coordinate country-office CBI strategy development and standard operating procedures
  • Ensure monitoring/evaluation of CBI output and outcome indicators
  • Ensure gender-based violence, disability inclusion, and child protection considerations

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Economics/Social Sciences plus 5 years experience, OR bachelor's degree plus 7 years experience
  • Excellent knowledge of CBI in humanitarian emergencies and/or early recovery contexts
  • International cash programming in humanitarian/conflict contexts; UN organization experience essential
  • Fluent English (oral/written) required; Arabic knowledge advantageous
