About this Role

NRC Syria seeks an Education Project Manager for its South-Central Area Office in Homs to implement and oversee education projects while adhering to governance protocols. The role requires managing educational initiatives from inception to completion with emphasis on quality assurance, partnership development, and ensuring access to safe and inclusive education for conflict-affected children.

Responsibilities

  • Implement monitoring, evaluation, and learning processes with education teams
  • Ensure quality control through development of assessment tools and procedures
  • Assess contextual needs and educational service gaps across the area
  • Oversee safe and inclusive programming guidelines
  • Coordinate with local and international partners to enhance programme effectiveness
  • Ensure compliance with NRC's financial and logistical systems
  • Support referral mechanisms for project participants

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education, social work, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years in senior-level education programme implementation in humanitarian/recovery contexts
  • Demonstrated ability overseeing at least 2 senior staff members
  • Understanding of INEE Minimum Standards
  • Fluency in English and Arabic — written and verbal
  • Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Syria; no visa sponsorship available
  • Knowledge of South and Central Syria context highly desirable
