Project Coordinator — Syria

Medair seeks a Project Coordinator to provide strategic, operational, and security leadership for Medair's activities inside Syria. The role oversees multi-sector humanitarian programming including MPCA, Health, and WASH interventions, managing the country team and representing Medair to authorities, donors, and coordination bodies.

• Deliver strategic oversight of humanitarian initiatives aligned with Medair's organisational goals
• Lead the country team through recruitment, coaching, and performance management
• Represent Medair to government authorities, donors, and humanitarian coordination bodies
• Support donor engagement and funding processes
• Manage overall programme budget and ensure compliance with donor requirements
• Oversee security management and staff safety protocols
• Ensure adherence to Sphere, Core Humanitarian Standards, and Medair's safeguarding policies

• Minimum 5 years post-qualification management experience in humanitarian contexts
• Experience engaging with donors and government officials in complex environments
• Knowledge of Humanitarian Essentials, Sphere, and Core Humanitarian Standards
• Familiarity with UN and humanitarian coordination mechanisms
• Strong servant leadership skills with a consultative management style
• Advanced planning, assessment, and analytical capabilities
• Alignment with Medair's Christian faith-based values
