About this Role
UNFPA Syria, through the UN Volunteers programme, seeks a SafeLine Operator & Case Manager to support community feedback mechanisms and strengthen the quality of GBV services across Syria. The position operates within an inter-agency initiative to expand the SafeLine hotline, addressing humanitarian service access and accountability to affected populations.
Responsibilities
- Answer SafeLine hotline calls and provide accurate information to affected communities
- Coordinate with volunteer groups and conduct follow-up activities
- Track and analyse rumours from online channels, assessing credibility and humanitarian impact
- Develop analytical reports for stakeholder decision-making
- Support capacity-building trainings and inter-agency coordination meetings
- Maintain current service maps, partner directories, and contact lists
- Update operational dashboards with performance data
Requirements
- Background in humanitarian response or community engagement
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Data analysis and reporting skills
- Understanding of gender-based violence issues and response mechanisms
- Collaborative approach with diverse stakeholders
- Fluency in Arabic (required) and English
