The IM Senior Officer leads the development and implementation of the organization's Information Management (IM) systems to ensure efficient,accurate, and timely data collection, storage, analysis, visualization,and reporting. The role supports evidence-based decision-making by providing high-quality information products and analytical insights while ensuring compliance with data quality and governance standards. The position also provides technical guidance and capacity building to relevant teams. The Information Management senior Officer will report to the MEAL Manager.
. Lead the design and implementation of digital data collection systems in line with programmatic and donor requirements.
. Develop and manage centralized databases, ensuring accessibility and proper organization.
. Oversee data entry, validation, completeness, consistency, and accuracy
. Establish and implement Data Quality Assurance (DQA) procedures
. Ensure data security, confidentiality, and compliance with organizational data protection policies
. Manage data archiving, backup, and recovery processes
. Standardize data structures, project coding, and data dictionaries across programs.
. Analyze data to generate indicators,trends, and actionable insights.
. Produce periodic reports, dashboards,and statistical summaries.
. Develop information products such as maps,charts, and visualization dashboards.
. Support proposal development and donor reporting through data analysis.
. Provide evidence-based recommendations to improve program performance.
. Develop and enhance Information Management systems to improve efficiency and sustainability
. Design and maintain automated reporting tools and interactive dashboards
. Develop and update Information Management Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
. Evaluate and introduce new technologies and tools to strengthen information management
. Ensure integration between IM systems and MEAL, program, HR, and other organizational systems
· Coordinate with Program and MEAL teams to meet data and information needs.
. Provide technical support for designing data collection tools and conducting analyses
. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure efficient IM infrastructure
. Represent the organization in Information Management coordination forums when required
. Support secure data sharing With partners in accordance with organizational policies
. Support MEAL teams in developing indicator tracking systems and results frameworks
. Contribute to the design of assessment tools, sampling plans, and evaluation databases
. Support Data Quality Assessments (DQAs) and indicator verification processes
. Prepare datasets for internal and external evaluations and audits
. Monitor performance indicators and ensure data availability for reporting
. Design and develop electronic and paper-based data collection tools
. Build validation rules and logical workflows within digital data collection platforms
. Develop standard reporting templates, dashboards, and databases
. Test and validate tools before deployment
. Regularly update tools to meet evolving program requirements
. Train staff on Information Management systems and data collection tools
. Develop IM training materials, manuals, and user guides
. Provide continuous coaching and technical support to staff and partners
. Promote a data-driven culture across the organization
. Assess capacity gaps and develop capacity-building plans

. Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager

Commitment to implementing policies by taking them into account when planning and designing activities, as well as when receiving complaints or noticing issues related to this matter, and fulfilling their obligation to report them directly through designated channels or directly to senior management. Raising awareness among designated staff about the child protection policy and the protection from sexual exploitation and abuse, as well as the reporting mechanisms and how to handle them.as the reporting mechanisms and how to handle them

. Essential :
. Bachelor’s degree in Information Management,Data Science, or a related field.
. Minimum of 5 years of experience in information management or data analysis, preferably in a humanitarian or development context.
. Proficiency in data management software and tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL, GIS applications).
. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable information.
. Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic.
. Desirable :
. More than 8 years of experience in the humanitarian and/or development sector.
. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
. Experience with data visualization tools (Google Charts, Tableau, Grafana, Chartist, FusionCharts, Datawrapper, Infogram, and ChartBlocks etc).
