About this Role
NRC Syria is seeking an experienced Communication and Media Adviser to develop communications and media content, build field team capacity in storytelling, and strengthen NRC's public profile and media engagement in Syria.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement communication and media action plans for NRC Syria
- Conduct field visits to gather human interest stories and multimedia content
- Produce high-quality multimedia materials for traditional and digital media
- Pitch media stories and manage press relations
- Mentor and build capacity of field staff in communications, photography, and videography
- Manage social media channels with analytics-driven content strategy
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in media or communications with an NGO (Syria experience preferred)
- University degree in communications, journalism, or related field
- Proven photography and videography skills, including short-form and editing
- Social media management and digital analytics expertise
- Fluency in English and Arabic (spoken and written); Kurdish is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, and video editing tools
- Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Syria
