HMA EOD Team Leader — Rural Damascus

DRC seeks a Humanitarian Mine Action (EOD) Team Leader to supervise EOD operations in Rural Damascus (Al-Kisweh). 12-month contract with possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor team activities, ensuring compliance with SOPs and safe operations
• Manage team personnel including leave, performance reviews, and discipline
• Coordinate with local authorities and DRC management to ensure operational safety
• Lead site planning, reconnaissance, and quality assurance activities
• Supervise all EOD/MMC/BAC activities of the team in accordance with the work plan
• Manage equipment maintenance, inventory, and explosive material handling
• Conduct daily safety briefings and operational reporting

Requirements

• Minimum IMAS EOD Level 2 certification from recognized training institution
• Minimum 2 years managing 6+ personnel
• Valid manual driving license (Category A) for 4x4 vehicles
• Fluency in English and Arabic (speaking, reading, writing)
• Proficiency in MS Office applications; physically fit
