About this Role

The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) seeks a Protection Team Leader to manage protection activities and supervise Protection Field Assistants in Rural Damascus.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and monitor protection programmes in Rural Damascus
Manage and support a team of Protection Field Assistants
Maintain financial oversight and reporting for protection activities
Ensure compliance with data protection and safeguarding standards
Liaise with local authorities, communities, and partner organisations

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in the UN/NGO sector
Team management experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities
University degree in Social Sciences, Psychology, or a related field
Fluent spoken and written Arabic; strong English proficiency
Knowledge of international protection standards and child protection programming

Contract: Fixed-term until 31 December 2026
