About this Role
Relief International seeks PSS Assistants (3 positions) for its northwest Syria programme, based in Khan Shaykhun and Kafr Nobol in Idlib governorate. The PSS Assistant delivers psychosocial support services including structured group activities and individual sessions at primary health care centres and women/girls safe spaces for conflict-affected communities.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate group psychosocial support activities and structured recreational sessions
- Deliver structured PSS sessions at primary health centres and women/girls safe spaces
- Identify individuals requiring case management referral and coordinate with social workers
- Maintain participant attendance records and activity documentation
- Support community awareness activities on mental health and psychosocial wellbeing
- Participate in weekly supervision sessions and training programmes
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in social work, psychology, or related field
- Minimum 1 year experience facilitating group activities or psychosocial support programmes
- Understanding of protection principles and sensitivity to gender-based violence issues
- Ability to work with vulnerable women, children, and families in displacement settings
- Fluent Arabic required; English proficiency an asset
- Based in or willing to relocate to Idlib governorate
